I have learned this all throughout my college career, on several different occasions. I have scholarships to go to school that help me pay for housing and food, but I have to wait a few weeks into the school year to receive the money. Every time it gets to that point, I'm usually running pretty low on cash. And every time I have been at the point of no money, He provides. This summer I ran out of money while I was about 3 hours away from home. He provided baby-sitting jobs for me to get money. And then this past week I was very much out of money and have yet to pay my power bill (which is due tomorrow). God reminded me of some books that I have to sell back to the used book store. I was told that I would probably only get $20 at the best for them, but I claimed $30 and asked God for it, since that is how much I need. I went to the bookstore, they rang up my books, and said "I have $30 for these. Is that all right?" God provides.
Also: I've learned to see God's provision in things that look horrible. About 2 weeks ago I was on the way to South Carolina with my dad and I was almost in tears because of how sick I was of being in cars. In the past 4 days I had literally driven 20 places. I was pretty sick of cars. Just as I was saying "God, if I could not drive for the next month that would be ok with me," my engine blew up. So ... I am carless for now. And that is OK by me! He showed me that I need to relax and trust Him. And I have managed to get everywhere that I need to go without a problem!! God loves to provide!!
